CayMind is a free and confidential (within normal limits) mental health helpline for adults who may be experiencing mental health concerns, distress, despair or suicidal thoughts.
Trained volunteers provide a listening ear, empathetic support and callers are encouraged to explore their feelings without fear or prejudice.
The helpline aims to help individuals cope with day-to-day struggles, mental health challenges and reduce deaths by suicide in the Cayman Islands.
It’s essential to recognize what you’re feeling, feel respected and know that it’s okay not to feel ok.
Remember that reaching out for help is a courageous step, CayMind is here to step forward with you, listen, support and signpost to available resources.
The term ‘confidential within normal limits' means that confidentiality is guaranteed except:
- Where a person has immediate plans to self-harm or plans to harm others.
- Where there is information that a child, or vulnerable person, is at risk of, or has in the past been subjected to, harm/abuse/neglect.
